Anuhea
Kia orana! My name is Anuhea and I am of Cook Island and Hawaiian lineage. I have had an ardent interest in my culture from a young age as I watched my father master the art of Tokere drumming and as I admired my mothers hula motions, sharing the history of our land and people. At the age of five, I began dancing in Orlando Florida under the direction of Aunty Kaui Brandt. As I moved to Kāne’ohe, Hawa’i, Aitutaki and Aotearoa, I was able to learn different styles of Polynesian dance and language while getting to tour the world. I was also blessed to be able to entertain at the same stage my father opened up as the lead drummer in 1971, Disney’s Spirit of Aloha Dinner show. I now reside in Florida where I continue to spread my love for the Polynesian culture through language, music and dance been with the aloha team since 2019
